The Big Picture
United Front Ministries is a training, coaching and assessing ministry organization that is committed to church multiplication. God has given us a vision of a restored and healthy American church with dynamic leadership. Our ministry is to keep healthy churches healthy, empowering them for multiplication, and to get churches in plateau and decline into health and multiplication. Our philosophy of training, coaching and assessing is centered on two initiatives, spiritual renewal and strategic development. Spiritual renewal addresses the biblical and theological nature and character of church leaders and their congregations. Strategic development addresses the intentionality of ministry design, ministry activity and ministry resource allocation.

Our efforts are focused on two areas. First comes behind the scenes research and development, investing time, energy and finances into learning more and more about spiritual maturity and strategic development in order to create new and better methods and materials. Second comes the front line delivery of those methods and materials to church leaders and their congregations.

Training formats include Project 6:15, Project 2:47, seminars and workshops. Just over 200 churches have participated in the pilot of Project 6:15. The project takes its name from Nehemiah 6:15, “So the wall was completed on the twenty-fifth of Elul, in fifty-two days” (NIV). The rebuilding of the wall of Jerusalem serves as a metaphor for the redeveloped church in Project 6:15. The two-year pilot has provided a developmental proving ground for United Front’s comprehensive treatment in redeveloping the church in long-term plateau or decline. The pilot format has given way to a sixteen-month process that combines ReDevelopment training, coaching and assessing to bring a church to health and keep it there, establishing a platform for multiplication.

Project 2:47 is a new pilot that takes its name from Acts 2:47b, “And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved” (NIV). More than a metaphor, this is meant to describe the results found in Project 2:47’s churches as they emerge from training, coaching and assessing in church development. These churches enter the project with many of the elements of health already established. Project 2:47 maximizes their health and guides them toward multiplication, while also providing an immune system to keep these churches from drifting into plateau and decline, the inevitable destination of churches without health and growth intentionality.

Half-day and full-day seminars in church development, church redevelopment, and leadership development expose attenders to basic concepts and overviews. These are stand alone in nature, but usually are used by regional or national church organizations to draw their pastors and church leaders into United Front’s more comprehensive project ministries. Workshops are snapshots of larger training that are available for use in short time frame scenarios, such as ninety-minute workshops at the National Outreach Convention or in the context of a regional or national annual conference. Coaching is available by church or by cluster group. For more detailed information on all of the above, click the appropriate selection under Ministries on the home page.
